Our Story
A long, rich history
Established over 70 years ago, the Nyroca property is an iconic South Australian property designed for horses, their owners and riders. In fact, two Melbourne Cup winners were bred on Nyroca, Galilee and Rain Lover! Having been in the equine industry for so long, it’s no wonder the Nyroca name is known across Adelaide. More than 12,000 people have learned to ride horses at Nyroca in the last 26 years alone, and another 13,000+ people have pleasure ridden along the countless riding trails.

Nyroca currently functions as a riding centre, an agistment centre and a farm. We offer the most premium facilities of any riding centre north of Adelaide. Our staff are highly experienced instructors and successful competitors. The property is safe with a friendly, helpful atmosphere. These qualities help us to make riding and caring for horses easier for you.
We teach English-style riding in dressage and jumping, standard horsemanship skills, and effective nutrition, care and management practices. Whether you’re simply looking to go riding, or you want to know all about owning a horse, Nyroca Riding Centre has all the facilities and expertise to put you ahead of the rest.
Trail riding
Trail rides are an adventure tailored to the riders on it. We ride out to over 300 acres of private farming land and along government tracks. Enjoy the stunning scenary of the Adelaide Hills and Barossa, most trail rides will be at walk with an opportunity to trot, or a possible canter, splash in the dam, cross creeks, jump logs... we do whatever you want to do! Riding out like a bunch of friends, there are no arena fences, there's no routine and there's definitely no "single file", every ride is different because every rider is different!
1 Hour Beginner Trail
Suitable for complete beginners
Perfect for the inexperienced rider happy to submerse themselves in the scenery at a leisurely walk.
Starting with a 20min instructional lesson will be taken upon mounting in our enclosed sand arena to ensure your confidence and equip you with a skill set to safely conquer the trails with ease.

1.5 Hour Novice Trail Ride
For those who are happy to incorporate some trotting
This trail is for the semi-experienced rider who would love the chance to try some trotting, climb bigger hills, cross creeks and possibly try a short canter.
Ages 12+

We deem novice riders as someone who has had at least 20 instructional lessons with a professional in the last 3 years.

Duration approx. 1.5rs in the saddle

$155 per rider
$5 helmet fee if you do not have your own (all helmets must comply with EA standards and will be inspected prior to mounting).
2 Hour Experienced Riders Trail
An advanced trail for experienced riders
This trail allows the confident and experienced rider to enjoy trotting and cantering along our trails, try jumping a log or two, venture down to the dam and simply enjoy a longer time with you and your fury stead.

Age 12+

We deem an experienced rider someone who has had at least 50 instructional lessons in the last 3 years.

Duration is approx. 2hrs in the saddle

Twilight Trail Ride
A fully personalised and private trail.

New to Nyroca
Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child's special day with us at Nyroca! A funfilled 2 hour session packed with activities both in and out of the saddle. Parents, sit back and relax and perhaps nibble on a patter while we fully supervise your guests. They will enjoy riding in our fully secured sand arena as well as games, and an interactive horse care education session. Complete with party platters, loot bags and an all important birthday cake! We can also accomodate parents with parent platters and drinks upon request. Book your horse themed birthday party today!
$75 per child all inclusive
Minimum of 8 children (or minimum booking fee of $600 met)
